Obituary of MacDonald, Raymond Joseph
The death occurred suddenly at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Tuesday , September 22nd , 2009 of Raymond Joseph MacDonald of Summerside and formerly of Montague, P.E.I., aged 64 years. Raymond was born on May 31st , 1945 in New Glasgow, N.S.,to his late parents John Dan & Alice ( nee Anestie ) MacDonald.
Survived by his wife of 40 years, Betty-Lou ( nee Razavet ) MacDonald, his loving children Vanda MacDonald ( Randy Hazel )and Stephen all of Summerside, his grandchildren Tanner & Dylan Murchison and the following brothers & sisters : Geraldine ( Camille ) Morris, Harry , Kenny ( Margie ) , Eugene ( Hazel ) , Vernon and Leonard ( Debbie ) . Also lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Raymond was predeceased by his in-laws Elizabeth 'Sis' and Ralph Razavet and his sister-in-law Beverly MacDonald.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Saturday, September 26th , 2009 then to St. Paul's Church, S'side for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. No visiting hours by personal request. Memorial donations in Raymond's memory to the Children's Wish Foundation or to Child Find P.E.I. would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
