Obituary of Perry, Joseph
The death occurred suddenly at the Moncton City Hospital, Moncton , N.B on Monday , August 31st , 2009 of Joseph Perry of Summerside , P.E.I., aged 60 years. Joe was born on January 4th , 1949 in Summerside , P.E.I. to his late parents Joseph Earl & Alvina ( nee Richard ) Perry.
Beloved husband of Brenda ( nee Blacquiere ) Perry and loving father of Jolene ( Grant ) MacDonald of Miscouche. Survived by his sister Carol ( Gordon ) Goodwin of Amherst, N.S. and brothers Walter ( Pam ) of S'side, Robert ( Irma ) of S'side and Ronald ( Carolyn ) of Central Bedeque. Also lovingly remembered by his grandson Cody, his father & mother-in-law Art & Eileen Blacquiere of S'side and several nieces, nephews and brothers & sisters-in-law.
Besides his parents, Joe was predeceased by brothers Earl Jr. & John Gerald.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday, September 4th , then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.. Memorial donations in Joe's memory to Community Connections, S'side or to St. Paul's Church Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Thursday evening only ,7 - 9 p.m..

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
