Obituary of Albert, Ivan Henry
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital on Sunday, June 21st,2009 of Ivan Henry Albert, of Summerside ,and formerly of St. Edwards, P.E.I., aged 75 years.Ivan was born on Dec.17th , 1933 in Miminegash, P.E.I. to his late parents, Henry and Catherine (nee Gaudet) Albert .
Beloved husband of Josie ( nee Gaudet ) Albert and loving father of Gary, Joyce (Kenny) Bennett, Ricky (Judy) & Bloyce all of Summerside, Pauline (Gene) MacDonald of Charlottetown, Terry (Peggy) of Linkletter, Blair (Joyce) of Moncton, N.B., Kathy (Mario) Henry of Borden & Troy (Kelly) of Travellers Rest. Also lovingly remembered by his 17 grandchildren and his 13 great grandchildren. Survived by his brothers and sisters: Joseph (Stella), Beatrice Palmer, Roy (Margaret), Ronnie (Pauline), Carol (Owen) Gaudet, Marie (Donnie) MacAusland, Stephen (Donna) & Gloria Bowles all of Summerside, Dora (Tommy) MacKenzie of Belfast, Edlow (Lorriane) of Alberton, Claude (Julia) of
Miscouche, Aurella (Gerry) Dieser of Miscouche & Pat (Anna Mae) of Charlottetown. Also lovingly remembered by his brother-in-law Arthur Arsenault and numerous nieces, nephews.
Besides his parents,Ivan was predeceased by his children Ivan Junior, Terrance & Debbie and his grandson B.J.,his sisters Elizabeth Arsenault & Anna (Lloyd) McNeill, his sister-in-law Mary Albert, his brothers-in-law Bob Bowles, Wallace Palmer, Leigh Getson & Bennie Bernard and by his in-laws Edmond & Mary Gaudet.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Thursday June 25th, 2009 for funeral mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, at 2:00 p.m.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ivan's memory to the I.W.K. Children's Hospital or the Children's Wish Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
