Obituary of McOrmond, Mina Manson
The death occurred peacefully & surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Wednesday, June 17th, 2009 of Mina Manson McOrmond ( nee Dye ) of Summerside , P.E.I. , aged 83 years. Mina was born on June 2nd , 1926 in Dundee, Scotland to her late parents Harry & Mina ( nee Manson ) Dye.
Beloved wife of Edward McOrmond & loving mother of Gary ( Kathy ) of Bridgetown , N.S., Brian of Moncton, N.B., Bruce ( Heather ) of Halifax, N.S., Bonnie of Ch'town, Dale ( Dawn ) of Edmonton, Ab. & Steven ( Janet ) of Toronto, On.. Also lovingly remembered by her 8 grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Survived by her brother Harry ( Shirley ) Dye of S'side & her sister Edith ( Jock ) Mungall of S'side.
Besides her parents, Mina was predeceased by her brother Manson Dye.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home,245 Pope Road, Summerside where a private family service will be held. Interment to follow at a later date in People's Cemetery, Summerside.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
