Obituary of Gregory, Erva " Dolly " Pearl
The death occurred at the Summerset Manor, Summerside on Sunday, June 14th , 2009 of Erva Pearl 'Dolly' Gregory (nee MacLeod) of Summerside P.E.I. and formally of Norboro. Dolly was born on Dec. 10th, in Mount Pleasant, P.E.I. to her late parents James & Pearl (nee Biggar) MacLeod.
Beloved wife of Melford Gregory & loving mother of Pauline (Eldon) Gautreau of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Christopher (Chantell) & Carrie Gautreau and her great- grandchildren Hayden & Griffin along with several nieces & nephews. Survived by her brother David MacLeod of Freetown.
Besides her parents, Dolly was predeceased by her first husband George Nicholson, her daughter Jean Nicholson and her brothers & sisters Pauline, Velma, Bernice, Aubrey & Vernon.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Wednesday, June 17th, 2009 for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. . Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery at a later date. Visiting hours on Tuesday, 7 - 9 p.m. & Wednesday, 1 p.m. until time of service. Memorial donations in Dolly's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Summerset Manor Equipment Fund would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
