Obituary of Rogers, Clair " Allan "
The death occurred suddenly at his late residence on Thursday, March 12th , 2009 of Clair 'Allan' Rogers of Charlottetown and formerly of St. Eleanors , P.E.I., aged 62 years. Allan was born on February 10th, 1947 in St. Eleanors, P.E.I. to his late parents, Wendell & Mary ( nee MacDonald ) Rogers.
Survived by his partner in love Jacqueline O'Brien ( nee Bradley ) and her family. Loving father of Chad of Toronto, On. , Casey of Kentville, N.S. & Becky of Ottawa, On. and their mother Eileen Rogers of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by his sisters Debbie Comeau of Chipman, N.B. & Alice ( Royce ) Getson of Greenfield, N.S. and his brother Brian ( Su ) Rogers of Summerside.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday, March 17th where the Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. . Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service. Memorial donations in Allan's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
