Obituary of Gaudet, Albert Davis
The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown on Friday, March 6th , 2009 of Albert Davis Gaudet of Charlottetown and formerly of Bedeque, P.E.I. , aged 67 years. Albert was born on March 19th, 1941 in Bedeque, P.E.I. to his late parents, Horace & Mary Ellen ( nee Arsenault ) Gaudet.
Albert is survived his sister Ruby Gallant of Charlottetown & his brother-in-law Gary Erickson of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by several nieces & nephews.
Besides his parents, Albert was predeceased by his wife Noreen Gaudet ( nee Turner ) and his brothers Elmer, Walter, Ivan, Frederick, George and Edwin, his sisters Lillian and Blanche and by his step-brothers Austin and Leonard Avery and his grand-niece Alicia Gallant.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Monday, then to St. Peter's Church, Seven Mile Bay for funeral mass at 2:00 p.m.. Visiting hours on Sunday, 7-9 P.M. only. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Albert's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Prince County Hospital Foundation may be made at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
