Obituary of Hogg, Cynthia "Cindy" Yvonne
The death occurred suddenly at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Thursday, January 15th, 2009 of Cynthia 'Cindy' Yvonne Hogg ( nee Neath ) of Borden, P.E.I. and formerly of Guelph, On., aged 59 years. Cindy was born on January 4th, 1950 in Guelph, On. to her parents MacKenzie Neath of Cambridge, On. & Eleanor Egan of Spencerport, N.Y..
Beloved wife of Brian Hogg & loving mother of Dale of Charlottetown, Tammy Hogg of Guelph, On. & Kelly ( Matt ) Dubuc of Guelph, On.. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Taylor, Avery & Colin along with numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. Survived by her brothers & sisters: Dan ( Arlene ) Neath of Kamloops, B.C., Randy ( Denise ) Neath of Cambridge, On., Beth ( Gary ) Reid of Powell River, B.C. & Tim ( Terry ) Neath of Kamloops, B.C..
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home , 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Wednesday, January 21st , 2009 for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m.. Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, S'Side at a later date. Visiting hours on Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.. Memorial donations in Cindy's memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
