Obituary of Beaton, Frances Lucy
?The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Saturday, December 27th, 2008 of Frances Lucy Beaton ( nee Heckbert ) of Bedeque, P.E.I., aged 84 years. Frances was born on March 23rd , 1924 in Summerside, P.E.I. to her late parents, Harry & Iva ( nee Currie )Heckbert.
Beloved wife of the late James Beaton and loving mother of Harry of Bedeque, Brian ( Brenda ) of Bedeque, Wayne ( Margo ) of Alberta, & Earl of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Survived by her sister Jean Hughes of Ch'town, P.E.I. .
Besides her husband & her parents , Frances was predeceased by her brothers Earl, Harry & Lloyd Heckbert and her sister Irene Bryanton, her brothers-in-law Willard Bryanton & Henry Hughes & her sisters-in-law Bea, Peggy, Ruth & Alice Heckbert.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday, Dec. 30th for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m..Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, S'side. Memorial donations in Frances' memory to the S'side Boy's & Girl's Club or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
