Obituary of Ford, Ruby Florence
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Sunday, December 14th , 2008 of Ruby Florence Ford ( nee Wright ) of Mount Pleasant , P.E.I. , aged 84 years. Ruby was born on June 6th , 1924 in Woodstock, P.E.I. to her late parents Ira & Nina ( nee Shaw ) Wright.
Beloved wife of the late Earl Ford & loving mother of Alice ( Bill ) Simmons of Scarborough, On. , Keith ( Vicky ) of Ch'town, Clarence ( Marlene ) of Mount Pleasant, Joyce ( Keith ) Phillips of Northam, Nina ( Eric )Phillips of Arlington, Eric ( Kim ) of Mount Pleasant, Nancy ( Kevin ) Stewart of Stratford & Nicole Ford (Jamie )of Miminegash. Also lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law Helen Ford of Mount Pleasant, her 29 grandchildren , 29 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Survived by her sisters & brothers : Bessie ( Wilfred ) Campbell of Mount Pleasant, Sadie Walfield of Ellerslie, Ivy ( Florence ) Wright of Linkletter, Wilfred Wright of the Blue Shank Road & George Wright of Toronto, On. .
Besides her husband and her parents , Ruby was predeceased by her sons Ray, Steven & Johnny , her daughter Phyllis Ford, her grandchildren Richard & Judy Broome, Randy Ford & Scott Phillips , her brothers Norman , Johnny , Ray Wright & her sister Alice Trowsdale.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home , 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday, December 18th, 2008 for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. . Interment to take place in Victoria West People's Cemetery. Visiting hours on Wednesday , 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m..

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
