Obituary of Galbraith, Sabina Ethel Mary

?After a long illness, we announce God's Mercy in the passing of Ethel Mary Sabina Galbraith (nee Dapp) on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at the Wedgewood Manor, S'side. She left us quietly and in comfort for which we sincerely thank the caring staff of the manor. Sabina was born on March 30, 1918 in a little cabin in Nestow, Alberta to her late parents, Frederick & Ethel (nee Turner) Dapp. She married Arnold Herman Galbraith and lived most of her life traveling throughout Canada. On a Grade 4 education she worked in domestics all her life achieving the success of raising nine healthy children. She always aspired to be a 'light operatic singer' and sang in church with her beautiful voice and now can achieve that goal in God's heavenly choir. She moved to S'side in the summer of 1988 where she lived with her daughter Heather until entering the manor. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Sabina Daniels (John) of Richmond Hill, Ont., Jim (Rebecca) of Texas, U.S.A., Dale (Anita) of Newmarket, Ont., Heather Zaharychuk of S'side, David of Manitoulin Island,Ont.,Earl (Vivian)of Brampton ,Ont.,June Walters(James)of S'side, Lois Travors of S'side & Donald (Carol) of Sydney B.C.. As well she leaves her grandchildren: Erin, Andy, Darcy, Danielle, Nichole, Robert, Jonathan, Laurie, Cathy, Natalie, Rod, Jennifer, Sabrina, Alex, Derrick and Charlotte, and her great grandchildren : Rosa Marie, Rebecca, Savannah, Austin, Grace, Ethan & Keegan. She also leaves one sister Joyce MacSweyne of S'side & her brother Fred Dapp of B.C.. Besides her parents, Sabina was predeceased by her husband Arnold, her brother Bert Dapp & her sister Marjorie Chambers. No funeral service by personal request. Words of condolences may be expressed to the family at 391 Central St., S'Side. Memorial donations in Sabina's memory to the Alzeimers Society would be greatly appreciated.
