Obituary of Gain, Dorothy Edna
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Edna Gain ( nee Malone ) of Moncton, N.B. and formerly of Summerside & O'Leary, P.E.I. at the Moncton City Hospital, Moncton N.B. on Friday, Oct. 17th, 2008,aged 84 years. Dorothy was born in Foxley River, P.E.I. on July 29th , 1924 to her late parents, William & Maude ( nee McInnis ) Malone.
Beloved wife of the late James Gain and loving mother of Tom ( Sheila ) of
O'Leary,Helen ( Gary ) Dyment of Piusville, Tony ( Anne ) of Moncton, N.B. .
Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jason ( Lisa ), Heather ( Paul ),
Jodi ( Tim ), Randy, Amanda & Jamie; her step-grandchildren Kevin ( Dorraine ) Ferguson & Ernie ( Allison ) Ferguson ; her great-grandchildren Matthew, Kyra, Mitchell & Olivia ; and her step-great grandchildren Devin, Lacey, Colby & Gracie along with several special nieces, nephews and one special friend Edna Fahey.
Besides her husband & her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her brothers Ed, Pete, Leo, Stephen & Tom and her sisters Irene, Martina & Agatha .
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday, Oct. 21st , then to St. Brigid's Church, Foxley River, P.E.I. for funeral mass at 10:30 A.M.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Dorothy's memory to the Alzheimer Society or to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
