Obituary of Gallant, Mary Lois
? The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her family at the
Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Thursday, August 7th , 2008 of Mary
'Lois' Gallant (nee Warren) Gallant of 35 St. Lawrence St. Summerside , P.E.I. ,aged 80 years. Lois was born on December 9th ,1927 in St. Louis P.E.I. to her late parents, Harold and Evelyn McGrath) Warren. Beloved wife of Ben Gallant.
Loving mother of Sandra (Bruce ) Moore, Northam, Brian (Bev) Warren,
Summerside, and Dale (Shirley) Warren, Vernon, B.C. She was the loving
grandmother of Darren Simmonds and Rae Warren Summerside and great-
grandmother of Destiny Warren. She is also survived by her brothers: Reggie
(Bernice) Warren, Summerside, Clayton (Lillian) Warren, Summerside and James
Warren, B.C. Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of Edna Gallant and Stella Warren,
of Summerside and Oscar (Theresa) Gallant, Wilfred (Delia) Gallant and Mary
Gallant all of Puisville and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was
predeceased by her brother Russell Warren. Resting at the East Prince Funeral
Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Saturday then to St. Paul's Church for
funeral mass at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 and 7-9. Interment in St. Paul's
Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Lois' memory to the Canadian
Cancer Society or to the P.E.I. Humane Society would be appreciated. On line

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
