Obituary of Trainor, George Leonard
The death occurred suddenly at his late residence in Albany P.E.I, on Wednesday, July 30th , 2008 of George Leonard Trainor of Albany, aged 77 years.
George was born on September 15, 1930, in Albany, P.E.I. to his late parents William and Irene (McCarville) Trainor. Beloved husband of Frances ( nee Monaghan) Trainor.
George is survived by his daughters Mary, Charlottetown, Ann (Sheldon) Culleton, Summerside and Bernadette, Crapaud, and his grandchildren Jill and Carrie Culleton. Also lovingly remembered by several nieces & nephews, his sisters and brother: Doris McKenna, Moncton, William Trainor, Edmonton,Alb., Mary Trainor, Charlottetown and Elizabeth Morrison, Charlottetown, his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Mary Gallant, Lency (Frank) Carragher, Kelly's Cross and George (Joan) Monaghan, Charlottetown.
Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his sister Helen Pitt and brother-in-law Jerome Monaghan.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, August 4th, then to the St. Peter's Church, Seven Mile Bay for funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M..Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Visiting hours on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9.
Memorial donations in George's memory to Heart and Stroke Foundation or to St.
Peter's Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
