Obituary of Gaudet, Herbert Joseph

The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Tuesday, July 22nd,2008 of Herbert Joseph Gaudet of Summerside and formerly of St.Nicholas , P.E.I. , aged 79 years. Herbert was born on March 13th ,1929 in St.Nicholas , P.E.I. to his late parents ,Leo & Madeline ( nee Gallant )Gaudet. Beloved husband of Carolyn ( nee Cormier ) Gaudet & loving father of Wayne ( Noella ) of Kensington , Donna ( Ed ) MacDonald of Greenwood, N.S., Phyllis Arsenault ( John Doucette ) of Calgary, Ab., Wendy ( Wayne ) McWhinney of Greenwood, N.S., Mitchell ( Crystal ) of S'side & Tracy Cormier ( John Harris ) of Alberta. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Terra, Scott, Rylan, Thomas, Patrick, Keaten & Cassidi. Survived by his brothers & sister : Hilda( Tanton ) Landry of S'side, Elric of S'side, Marie ( Gus ) Gaudet of St. Nicholas & Cedric of St. Nicholas. Besides his parents , Herbert was predeceased by his brothers Clarence & Leonard & his sister Frances. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday, July 24th then to St.Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. . Interment to take place in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Miscouche. Visiting hours on Wednesday , 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. . Memorial donations in Herbert's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Prince County Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be greatly appreciated.
