Obituary of Laney, Marsha Magnolia
The death occurred suddenly as the result of a traffic accident in Wellington, P.E.I. on Saturday, June 14th , 2008 of Marsha Magnolia Laney ( nee Geary ) of Summerside, aged 30 years and Travis Joseph Laney of Summerside & formerly of Stephenville, Newfoundland , aged 27 years.
Marsha was the beloved daughter of Ron & Sandra ( nee Clow ) Geary of Summerside, P.E.I. and Travis was the beloved son of Ted & Marion ( nee Rouzes ) Laney of Port-Au-Port Peninsula, Newfoundland.
Marsha & Travis were loving parents of Jasmin, Katie & Brandon. Also lovingly remembered by Marsha's grandmothers Rita Clow of Summerside & Agnes Geary of Edmonton, Alberta. Survived by her sisters Shelley ( Martin ) Harriman of Calgary,Alberta & Lynn ( Troy ) Smith of Summerside, her nephew Devon & nieces Toni & Cidney Geary of Summerside along with several aunts, uncles & cousins.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home , 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday, June 19th for funeral service in the Church of the Nazarene ,156 Fitzroy St., Summerside at 2:00 p.m.. Interment to take place at People's Cemetery, Summerside . Visiting hours on Wednesday , 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. .
Memorial donations in Marsha & Travis's memory to their Children's Trust Fund would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
