Obituary of Moore, Ernest Denzil
Moore : The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital , Summerside on Friday, May 30th , 2008 of Ernest Denzil Moore of 228 Old Summerside Road, Kensington, P.E.I. aged 79 years.
Ernest Denzil was born on February 24th , 1929 in Victoria West, P.E.I. to his late parents Eldon and Minnie (Cotton) Moore. Beloved husband of Doris (nee Inman) Moore & loving father of Lorna (Melvin) Arsenault, Joyce Moore, Roger Moore, Robert (Anne Marie) Moore, Wade (Donna) Moore and Joanne (Darryl) Power and their mother Mary Moore He was the loving step-father of Gary (Diane) Newsome, Blair Newsome, Audrey Newsome, Valerie (Aaron) Moore and Lori (Jeff) Large. He is also survived by his sisters Helen McCormack and Irma Moore and he is lovingly remembered by his 10 grandchildren and his 10 step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Ernest Denzil was predeceased by his brothers Thomas and Wyman Moore.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, for funeral service at the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m. . Interment to take place in Victoria West People's Cemetery. Visiting hours on Sunday, 7 - 9 p.m. only . Memorial donations in Ernest Denzil's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
