Obituary of Tuplin, Olive " Marie "
The death occurred peacefully & surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital , Summerside on Sunday, April 6th , 2008 of Olive 'Marie' Tuplin ( nee Sudsbury ) of Summerside & formerly of Kensington ,aged 77 years. Marie was born in Spring Valley , P.E.I. on August 14th , 1930 to her late parents , Alvin & Minerva ( nee Duggan ) Sudsbury.
Beloved mother of Sandra ( Ken ) Graham of Darnley , Thelma ( Bill ) Wall of Kensington, William ( Bev ) of Brampton, On. & Errol 'Biff' ( Yvonne ) of Burlington, On.. Also lovingly remembered as 'Grandmom' to her 10 grandchildren and as 'GG' to her 10 great-grandchildren. Survived by her brothers & sisters : Alma ( Don ) MacEachern of Spring Valley, Lee Sudsbury of Margate, Vernon 'Bud' ( Mary ) of Coboconk,On. & Cathy ( Lee ) MacDougall of Charlottetown.
Besides her parents, Marie was predeceased by her son Harry Andrew in infancy and her sister-in-law Pat Sudsbury.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday,April 11th , 2008 then to Kensington United Church for funeral service at 11:00 a.m.. Memorial donations in Marie's memory to the Prince County Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Thursday evening only , 6 - 9 p.m. .

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
