Obituary of McArthur, Edward " David "
The death occurred suddenly but peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Saturday, March 29th , 2008 of Edward 'David' McArthur of Summerside & formerly of Richmond, P.E.I. , aged 45 years. David was born on May 17th , 1962 in O'Leary, P.E.I. to his parents, Garfield & Amy ( nee Shaw ) McArthur.
Besides his loving parents, David will be sadly missed by his sister Olive Gallant ( Roger McNeill ) of Slemon Park, Delton ( Tammy ) of S'side & Deletra ( John ) Curtis of New Annan. Also lovingly remembered by his nieces & nephews Ryan, Lisa & Jake Gallant & Brittany McArthur.
David was predeceased by his grandparents William & Pearl Shaw & James & Olive McArthur and numerous aunts, uncles & cousins.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home , 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Wednesday, April 2nd for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m.. Interment to take place at a later date in the United Pentecostal Cemetery, Brooklyn .

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
