Obituary of Arsenault, Georgina "Georgie" Elaine
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown on Sunday, March 16th , 2008 of Georgina 'Georgie' Elaine Arsenault (nee Shaw) of Richmond P.E.I. and formerly of Summerside aged 30 years.
Georgie was born in Summerside, on August 29, 1977 to her parents, the late Bertram and Mae Marie (nee Bernard) Shaw. She is survived by her loving husband Robert 'Moby' Arsenault, her daughters Beoncia & Lakeisha and her step-daughter Camryn. Also her step-father David and her mother Mae Marie (Bernard) Murphy. She is survived by her brothers and sisters: Julie (Frankie) Arsenault, Shirley (Lonnie) Companion, James (Heather) Shaw, Eddie (Lisa DesRoches) Shaw, her sister-in-law Lee Ann (Jeff) Wilson, Brampton, On. and her father-in-law and mother-in-law Robert and Eileen Arsenault. She was predeceased by her father Bertram Shaw.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Wednesday, March 19th, 2008, then to Immaculate Conception Church, Wellington Center, for funeral mass at 10:00 AM.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a late date. Memorial donations in Georgie's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
