Obituary of Tibbetts, Gary Roy
The death occurred peacefully and with his sister Daphne by his side at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Thursday, March 6th, 2008 of Gary Roy Tibbetts of MacDonald Community Care Home, 197 Cambridge St. Summerside and formerly of Oromocto, NB, aged 61 years. Gary was born in Truro NS on January 17th , 1947 to his parents, Roy and the late Clara (nee Gamble) Tibbetts.
Beloved son of Roy Tibbetts, Summerset Manor and loving brother of Daphne (Ed) Nickerson, Summerside and Wayne (Sandi) of Oromocto and several nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Besides his mother and he was predeceased by his brother Gerald and his niece Donna Marie Nickerson.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Sunday, March 9th , 2008 , for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 p.m. . Interment to take place in St. John's Anglican Church Cemetery in Oromocto, NB. at a later date.
Memorial donations in Gary's memory to the Palliative Care Unit of Prince County Hospital or to MacDonald Community Care Home would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Saturday, 7:00-9:00 p.m only.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
