Obituary of Amyot, Gilles Leo
The death occurred peacefully & surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Wednesday, February 27th , 2008 of Gilles Leo Amyot of Summerside and formerly of Hull,Quebec, aged 69 years. Gilles was born in Hull, Quebec on July 12th,1938 to his late parents, Charles & Aline ( nee LaFortune ) Amyot.
Beloved husband of Diane ( nee LeBlanc ) Amyot and loving father of Charlyne Amyot of Quebec, Josee Ferreria of Ottawa, On., Danielle Amyot of Ottawa, On. and Jean Gilles Amyot of Gatineau, Quebec. Also lovingly remembered by his 7 grandchildren Janelle, Keelon, Jaelle, Melina, Anthony, Liam & Jody and several nieces & nephews. Survived by his brothers Francois of Chelsea, Que. & Claude of Hull, Que. and his sisters Ghisaline Revine of Aylmer, Que. and Collette Gagliano of Gatineau, Que..
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday , February 29th , 2008 , for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 8:00 p.m. . Interment to take place in People's Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Gilles' memory to the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
Visiting hours on Friday evening, 7:00 p.m. until time of funeral service.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
