Obituary of Arsenault, Verno Joseph
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Thursday, January 24th , 2008 of Verno Joseph Arsenault of Summerside and formerly of Montreal, Quebec , aged 75 years. Verno was born in Summerside ,P.E.I. on October 13th, 1932 to his late parents Stanley & Yvonne Arsenault.
Lovingly remembered by his step-mother Lena Arsenault of the Wedgewood Manor, S'side, his brothers & sisters : Ray of S'side,Irma ( Robert ) Perry of S'side, Jo-Anne ( Charles ) Mountain of S'side,Carol ( Tony ) Gabriel of Trenton, Ont. and Judy Doiron ( Roger Gallant ) of S'side along with numerous nieces & nephews.
Besides his parents , Verno was predeceased by his sister Erma and his brother Kenneth in infancy.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, January 28th , 2008 for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. . Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside at a later date. Memorial donations in Verno's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer Society of P.E.I. would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
