Obituary of Gaudet, John Archibald " Archie "
?The death occurred at the Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Middleton ,N.S. on Monday, November 19th , 2007 of John Archibald 'Archie' Gaudet of Kingston, N.S. and formerly of St. Nicholas, P.E.I. , aged 58 years. Archie was born in St. Nicholas , P.E.I. on May 6th , 1949 to his parents, the late Martin & Ursule ( nee Poirier ) Gaudet.
Left to celebrate his life is his Common Law spouse & best friend Pat Grantham of Kingston , N.S. , his sons Chris ( Jennifer Lockwood ) of Kingston, N.S. and Darren ( Angela ) Gaudet of Stellarton , N.S., their mother Gail Gaudet of Greenwood, N.S. and her parents Elmer & Corina Gaudet of Miscouche . Also lovingly remembered by his granddaughter Sydney Gaudet and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews. Survived by the following brothers & sisters : James ( Coleen ) of St. Nicholas, Thelma Gaudet of Edmonton, Ab., Danny ( Judy ) of Miscouche, Paulette Compton of S'side, Paul ( Julie ) of Edmonton, Ab., Dena ( Perry ) Birch of S'side, Noel ( Darlene ) of Edmonton, Ab., Greg ( Sharon ) of St. Nicholas, twins Lucille ( Gerald ) Sherren of Augustine Cove & Cecile ( Verno ) Gallant of Edmonton, Ab., Brian ( Sharon ) of Edmonton, Ab. , Gary ( Cathy ) of S'side, Donnie ( Leona ) of Spring Valley & Susan ( John ) Oman of Windsor , On. .
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday , November 26th , then to St. John the Baptist Church,Miscouche for memorial mass at 10:30 a.m. . Interment to take place in the church cemetery . Memorial donations in Archie's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Sunday evening only , 7 - 9 p.m. .

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
