Obituary of Root, Carol Ann
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital ,Summerside after a long & courageous battle with breast cancer on Wednesday, November 7th , 2007 of Carol Ann ( nee Penuta ) Root of Summerside .
Carol will be deeply missed by her husband Terry ; her children Tyler ( Katherine ) of Ottawa, On., Dawn of Charlottetown & James of Summerside ; her mother Audrey ( predeceased by her father James ) ; and her brothers Dennis ( Brigitte ) and David ( Maureen ).
Though her life was cut short, we will always remember the profound impact she had on others. While Carol valiantly battled health challenges for the last 12 years, she remained positive, optimistic and an inspiration to others. Carol will be missed by all, but will never be forgotten by anyone who had been touched by her.
Family & friends will be received at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside on Tuesday, November 13th , between 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m.. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses ,Taylor Road, Wilmot on Wednesday, November 14th at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation's in Carol's memory to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
