Obituary of Gaudet, Joseph Melvin
The death occurred at his late residence on Wednesday, September 12th , 2007 of Joseph 'Melvin' Gaudet of Summerside and formerly of St. Nicholas, P.E.I.,aged 67 years. Loving father of Mike ( Jane ) of Mississauga, Ont. , Nancy ( Allan ) Heffell of S'side and Mark of S'side. Lovingly remembered by his 5 grandchildren Rachael, Mitchell, Darcie, Jeremy & Cameron, along with several nieces & nephews. Survived by his sisters Una ( Reggie ) DesRoches of Tweed, Ont. & Doreen ( Marcel ) Arsenault of Montreal, Que. and his brother Mark ( Alice ) of Stoney Creek, Ont..
Melvin was predeceased by his parents, Reginald & Aldona Gaudet.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd.,Summerside until Monday, September 17th then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Melvin's memory to St. John the Baptist Church Restoration Fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Sunday evening only , 7 - 9 p.m..

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
