Obituary of Richard, Matilda Marie

The death occurred peacefully at Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Monday , August 6th 2007 of Matilda Marie Richard (nee Arsenault) of Summerset Manor, Summerside and formerly of 378 Market St. Summerside, aged 101 years. Matilda was born on March 9, 1906 in Maximeville P.E.I.. to her parents, the late Leo D. and Mary (Arsenault) Arsenault. Beloved wife of the late Dolor Richard and loving mother of Dorothy Gallant, Hamilton Ont, Eunice Workman, Summerside and Eugene (Flora) Richard, Kingston, Ont. Loving grandmother of Linda Workman, Alvin Gallant, Michael Richard, Charlene Soyatt, Paul, Dave, Doug, John and Steve Richard and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother: Peter L., Abrams Village, her sisters Dorothy Morgan, Montreal, Emily Blacquiere, Summerside, Aline Poirier, Summerside and by her sister-in-law Eugenie Arsenault and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband & her parents , Matilda was predeceased by her son Peter, her granddaughter Vicki Egizio and Vicki's two children Thomas and Leslie. Also her brothers Theodore, John, Fred and Edmond and by her sisters Lena and Corinne. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd.,Summerside until Thursday then to St. Paul's Church Summerside for funeral mass at 10:30 A.M. Visiting hours on Wednesday 2-4 and 7 - 9 P.M. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Matilda's memory to the Summerset Manor Equipment Fund would be greatly appreciated. St. Paul's C.W.L. will gather at the funeral home at 3:45 P.M. on Wednesday for prayers for their late sister.
