Obituary of Racette, Christina " Effie "

The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside on Friday , July 20th of Effie Christina Racette ( nee Gillis ) of Summerside , aged 70 years. Effie was born on August 12th , 1936 in Summerside, P.E.I. to her parents, the late Bernard & Elizabeth ( nee Arsenault ) Gillis. Beloved wife of the late Raymond Racette. Loving mother of Shirley ( Louis ) Gallant of Cape Egmont , Robert ( Diane ) of S'side, Diane ( Michael ) Richard of Grand Prairie, Ab. and James ( Shelley ) of S'side. Also lovingly remembered by her 8 grandchildren , 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by her brother & sisters : Theresa of S'side, Neva of S'side, Mary of Ottawa,On., Mona of Toronto, On. , Bookie of Newmarket, On. , Anna of Alberta & John of Toronto, On.. Besides her husband & her parents , Effie was predeceased by her brothers Clifford & Cecil, her sister Florence and her granddaughter Mary Julie Gallant. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery.
