Obituary of Arsenault, Frederick Emmanuel
Arsenault : The death occurred peacefully with his family at his side at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside on Thursday, July 12th,2007, of Frederick Emmanuel (Freddie Muddy Creek) Arsenault of Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, and formerly of St. Nicholas, aged 97 years. Freddie was born on April 27, 1910 in St. Nicholas P.E.I. to his parents, the late Emmanuel and Alice (Gaudet) Arsenault. Beloved husband of the late Auldine (nee Poirier) Arsenault.
Loving father of Dyan (Dr. Doug) Cameron, Linkletter, Vernita Arsenault,
Edmonton, Ab.,Marlene Wright, Summerside, Nola Sommers, Edmonton, Ab., Richard
(Teresa) St. Eleanors, Dennis, St. Nicholas, and David, Terrace BC. Also lovingly emembered by his 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Survived by his sister-in-law Edna Arsenault.
Besides his parents and his wife Freddie was predeceased by his brothers Leo, Stanley, Tilmon, his sisters Edna, Eileen, Gertie, Josie Lucy and Anita and
his grandchildren Wilfred and Carla Wright.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Tuesday, July 17th then to St. John the Baptist Church Miscouche for funeral mass at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours on Monday 2-4 and 7-9. Interment to take place in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Miscouche. Memorial donations in Freddie's memory to the Wedgewood Manor Equipment Fund. would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
