The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital,Summerside, on Saturday , May 12th , 2007 of Emily Mary DesRoches ( nee Peters ) of Miscouche , in her 91st year. Emily was born on September 2nd , 1916 in Palmer Road, P.E.I. to her parents, the late Maxime & Maude ( nee Blanchard )Peters. Beloved wife of the late Hilary DesRoches. Loving mother of Edwin ( Darlene ) of Miscouche, Elaine ( Ed ) of Victoria, B.C. , Jimmy ( Claire ) of Niagara Falls, On. , Jean of Miscouche, Ivan ( Lily ) of Miscouche, Bob ( Judy ) of Miscouche, Pauline ( Clarence ) of Seven Mile Bay, Laurie ( Bernice ) of Miscouche, Charlene ( John ) of Cornwall, Claire ( Maurice ) of S'side, Donna ( Brian ) of S'side, Kevin ( Kathy ) of Miscouche & Donnie ( Nancy )of Miscouche. Also lovingly remembered by her 30 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. Survived by her sister Lucy DesRoches of Miscouche. Besides her husband and her parents, Emily was predeceased by her daughter Sheila and her sisters Bernie , Ethel and Rita. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home , 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Wednesday, May 16th , then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. . Visiting hours on Tuesday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. In lieu flowers, memorial donations in Emily's memory to St. John the Baptist Restoration Fund would be greatly appreciated.
