Obituary of Gallant, Lillian Mary
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Tuesday February 20, 2007 of Lillian Mary Gallant (nee DesRoches) of 45 Kinsmen Road, Miscouche, aged 88 years. Lillian was born on November 14, 1918, to her parents Thomas and Clementine (Fougere) DesRoches.
Beloved wife of the late Leslie Gallant and loving mother of Mary (Roy) Arsenault, S'Side, Daniel, Miscouche, Alfred (Laura) , S'Side, Pauline Reivonen, Alberta, and Janet (Ian) Crockett, Stellarton, N.S. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and by her brother Percy (Margaret) DesRoches, and her sister Clara Rushton, both of Miscouche, also her sisters-in-law Roma Genereux, S'Side, Janie Gervais, Barrie Ont. and Irene Arsenault, Boston, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her infant son, George Louis, her infant daughter, Theresa Mary, her brothers, Daniel, Urban, and George DesRoches and her sister Matilda Perry.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche, for funeral mass at 10:30 A.M. Interment later in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Memorial Donations in Lillian's memory to St. John the Baptist Church Restoration Fund would be appreciated. Visiting hours Thursday

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
