Obituary of Cormier, Norm Joseph
?The death occurred suddenly at the Halifax Infirmary , Halifax ,N.S. on Monday , January 22nd , 2007 of Norman 'Norm' Cormier of Summerside,aged 59 years. Norm was born in Summerside , P.E.I. on August 7th , 1947 to his parents Joe & Alma ( nee Arsenault ) Cormier.
Beloved husband of Lois ( nee Gallant )Cormier . Loving father of Michelle ( Kevin ) Arsenault of Abrams Village , Russell ( Tara ) of Miscouche, Dean ( Dawn ) of S'side , step-father of Richard ( Susan ) Gallant of Cornwall , Dean Gallant of Miscouche and Chris Gallant of S'side. Also lovingly remembered by his father Joe of S'side, 9 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
Survived by the following brothers & sisters : Clarence ( Pauline ) of Seven Mile Bay, Doreen Cormier of Fredericton , N.B., Elmer of Balmoral, N.B., Edward of Bowmanville , On., Roma ( Lloyd ) Arsenault of Kinkora , Earl ( Brenda ) of Belmont, Laura ( Chisholm MacKinnon ) of Dartmouth, N.S., Elvin ( Tammy Allen ) of Beaverbank, N.S.,Lorne ( Karen ) of Freetown, Janet ( Greg ) Fielding of Montague, Brian of Moncton, N.B. and Roger ( Kim ) of Cornwall .Predeceased by his mother Alma. .
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Friday, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Norm's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, St. Paul's Church Cemetery Fund or the Canadian Amputee Association would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Thursday, 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m..

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
