Obituary of Yates, Bruce Robert
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Friday, January 19th , 2007 of Bruce Robert Yates of Central Bedeque and formerly of Ontario, aged 65 years. Bruce was born in Toronto, Ont. on February 10th , 1941.
Beloved husband of Theresa( nee Doucette ) Yates and loving father of Cathy. Also lovingly remembered by his two brothers Barry & Jack of Ontario , many nieces and nephews and the following sisters & brothers-in-law : Stella Laramie,Mary( Jack ) Marks & Joseph ( Doreen ) Doucette , all of Montreal, Que. and Roseanna ( Johnny ) Blanchard,Josephine ( Phillip ) Arsenault & Theresa Doucette, all of Tignish.Predeceased by his parents Isadore & Anne.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home , 245 Pope Road, S'side until Monday, January 22nd , then to St. Paul's Church , Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.. Interment to take place at a later date in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Bruce's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
