Obituary of Baker, Joyce Granville
The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside on Friday, January 19th, 2007 of Joyce G. Baker ( nee Moore ) of Summerside , aged 76 years. Joyce was born in Leicester, England on March 30th , 1930 and was the only child of Elsie & Regional Moore.
Survived by her beloved husband Forbes, children Valarie, Susan ( Rick ), Murray ( Shelly ) and Bradley. Also survived by grandchildren Brian, Matthew, Wendy, Jennifer and Ashley and great-granddaughter Lilly Joyce.
Joyce was a loyal baseball fan and before her health failed, watched her beloved Toronto Blue Jays every chance she could. She was an avid card player with a special passion for poker. She had a great love for music and dancing and enjoyed traveling, taking various trips to destinations in North America and Europe . She was predeceased by her ever loyal and faithful companions, her dogs 'Brutus' & 'Scruffy'.
Cremation has taken place and according to Joyce's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service held. Her ashes will be scattered over the ocean at a later date.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
