Obituary of Poirier, Joseph " Martin "

The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by the love of his family at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside on Wednesday, November 1st ,2006 of J. Martin Poirier, formerly of Miscouche , aged 94 years. Martin was born in Miscouche, P.E.I.on March 17th,1912 to his parents, the late Sylvere & Constance ( nee Arsenault ) Poirier. Beloved husband of the late Lucie ( nee Cormier ) Poirier and loving father of Margaret ( John ) Poirier Raynor of Enmore,Norma ( John ) Brown of Miscouche, Clarence of Miscouche, Louise ( Kenneth ) Ladouceur of Sarnia, On. , Louis of Calgary, Ab., Teresa ( Roland ) Bacon of B.C. , Una Poirier ( John Ramsay ) of S'side and Paul of Calgary, Ab.. Also lovingly remembered by his sister Aline Arsenault of the Wedgewood Manor, S'side, his 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents and his wife, Martin was predeceased by his son Alfred, his brothers Florin and Toussaint and his sisters Jeanne, Margaret & Alma. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd.,Summerside until Saturday, then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. . Interment to take place in the church cemetery . Memorial donations in Martin's memory to St. John the Baptist Church Restoration Fund or to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
