Obituary of Ferguson, Mary " Donna "
The death occurred suddenly at her late residence on Friday, October 27th , 2006 of Mary 'Donna' Ferguson ( nee Beaton ) of Lincoln , N.B. and formerly of Summerside , P.E.I. aged 51 years.
Beloved wife of Gary Ferguson and loving daughter of Florence & Gerard Gallant of Summerside. Loving mother of Rodney ( Candy ) Beaton of Miscouche, Paul Beaton of Summerside, Andrea Bernard ( Damien Arsenault ) of Fort Nelson, B.C. and step-mother of Sara & Tim Ferguson of N.B.. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchilden Madalyn, Kallie, Brooklyn , her step-grandchildren Matthew & Jenna, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews. Survived by her brother Andy Beaton of S'side, her sisters Jane ( Russell )O'Brien of S'side, Peggy ( Pat ) Bernard of Richmond and her step-brother Corey Gallant of S'side.
Predeceased by her father George Beaton, her brother David Beaton,her grandparents Earle & Mary Campbell & James & Mae Beaton.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday, November 2nd then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 2:00 p.m. . Interment to take place in the church cemetery .
Memorial donations in Donna's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or to St. Paul's Church Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Wednesday, from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. .

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
