Obituary of Gaudet, Aldona Mary
The death occurred peacefully in Stoney Creek, Ontario on Sunday,October 22nd , 2006 of Aldona Mary Gaudet ( nee Gaudet ) , formerly of St.Nicholas, P.E.I. , aged 99 years. Aldona was born in St. Nicholas on July 19th ,1907 to her parents , the late Alphonse & Marie Anne ( nee Poirier ) Gaudet .
Beloved wife of the late Reggie Gaudet . Dear mother of Mark ( Alice ) of Stoney Creek, Ontario and Melvin of Summerside. Cherished Grandma of Glenn ( Shelley ),Cathy ( Jason ) Beckett, Carol Ann ( fiance- Jamie Werstuck ), Michael ( Jane ), Mark, Nancy ( Allan ) Heffell and precious Meme of her 8 great-grandchildren. Also lovingly remembered by her many loving and devoted nieces & nephews.
Besides her husband and her parents,Aldona was predeceased by her brothers Stanley & Aloysius, her sisters Sylvia Fredeman, Alsida Nichols, Beatrice Poirier and her twin sister Clarice Richard.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home , 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday, then to St. John the Baptist Church,Miscouche for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. . Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Visiting hours on Wednesday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. . In lieu of flowers,memorial donations in Aldona's memory to a charity of your choice would begreatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
