Obituary of Palmer, Roy Joseph Collingwood

Palmer : The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Thursday, September 14th , 2006 of Roy Joseph Collingwood Palmer of 3 Gillis St., Miscouche , aged 61 years. Roy was born in Alberton , P.E.I. on July 21st , 1945 to his parents, Beatrice and the late Wallace Palmer. Beloved husband of Betty ( nee Richard ) Palmer and loving father of Elaine ( Jim Perry ) , Richard , Scott (Paulette) and James , all of Miscouche. Also lovingly remembered by his granddaughter Alysha and several nieces and nephews. Survived by the following brothers & sisters : Wayne ( Darlene ) of Lot 16, Sheila ( Rodney ) Doucette of Miscouche, Owen ( Verne ) of S'side, Jackie ( Brigette ) of Sherbrooke , Jimmy (Marge ) of S'side, Peter ( Darlene ) of S'side and Marjorie MacKinnon of Miscouche and Blaine of S'side. Besides his father , Roy was predeceased by his daughter Joyce . Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday , then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche for funeral mass at 10:30 A.M. Interment to take place in the church cemetery . Visiting hours on Friday , 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 P.M. . Memorial donations in Roy's memory to the P.E.I. Home Care Program or to Hospice Palliative Care Assoc of P.E.I. would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the East Prince Funeral Home, Summerside.
