Arsenault : The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital
Summerside on Friday , July 14th , 2006 Aurelie Marie Arsenault (nee Gaudet), of 336 LeFurgey Ave Summerside and formerly of Egmont Bay, aged 90 years. Aurelia was born in Egmont Bay, P.E.I. on July 9th 1916, to her parents, the late Abdon and Albina (Arsenault) Gaudet. Beloved wife of the late Alphie Arsenault. Loving mother of Eva (Peter) Cote, Toronto, Elvina (John Peter) Arsenault, North Bedeque, Ulric (Muriel) Toronto, Yvonne (Joe) Sonier, Toronto, Theresa Brideau, Bathurst, Ann Arsenault, Toronto, and Arthur of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Kimberly Heck, Stephen Arsenault, Gregory Sonier, Colin Arsenault, Paulette MacKinnon, Susan Pine, Wayne Arsenault and Robert Cote and her great-grandchildren Brandon, Travis and Dylan Heck, Mitchel Pine and Hailey MacKinnon and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother Cyrus (Martha) Gaudet, Moncton. Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her sister Alma Voutour and by her daughter-in-law Patricia Arsenault. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Tuesday, then to St. Paul's Church for funeral mass at 10:30 A.M. .Interment to take place in St.Jacques and St. Philippe Cemetery in Egmont Bay. Memorial donation's in Aurelie's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday, 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 P.M. . In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
