Obituary of McCardle, Kelly Erin
The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Tuesday, June 27th , 2006 of Kelly Erin McCardle ( nee McAleer )of 633 6th St., Slemon Park and formerly of Scotland,aged 30 years. Kelly was born in Scotland on November 15th , 1975 .
Beloved wife of Marc McCardle and loving daughter of Janice( Garry ) Mitchell of Australia and Peter ( Wendy ) McAleer of Kensington. Also lovingly remembered by her father & mother-in-law John & Joyce McCardle of S'side,her sister Gail 'Abby' McAleer of England, her step-sister Jackie ( Steve ) MacDonald of S'side, her brothers & sisters-in-law Melissa McCardle of S'side, Lorelei ( Darren )Baker of N.B. & Albert ( Kathy ) McCardle of Kinkora, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd.,Summerside until Friday, then to St. Paul's Church,S'side for funeral mass at 10:00 A.M. Memorial donations in Kelly's memory to the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince County Hospital would be greatly appreciated. No visiting hours by personal request.
Following the funeral service, a reception to celebrate Kelly's life will be held at Anson's, Slemon Park at 11:00 A.M. . Everyone welcome .

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
