Obituary of Arsenault, Margaret Helen
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital,Summerside on Wednesday, June 21st, 2006 of Margaret Helen Arsenault ( nee Leake )of Summerside , aged 76 years. Margaret was born in Sussex, N.B. on December 6th , 1929 to her parents, the late Harvey & Lena ( nee Young ) Leake .
Beloved wife of the late Gordon Arsenault and loving mother of Linda ( Rob ) Alexander of St. Catherines,Ont. , Rod ( Pat ) of S'side, Gord ( Diane ) of S'side, Barry ( Tami ) of S'side and Tracy ( Allan ) MacKenzie of Ch'town. Also lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law Gail Palmer of S'side, her 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by her brother Doug ( Joan ) Leake of Windsor, Ont. and her step-sister Anne Brown of Beamsville, Ont.
Besides her parents and her husband , she was predeceased by her son Trent. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 A.M.. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside . In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Margaret's memory to the Autism Society of P.E.I. or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. No visiting hours by personal request.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
