Obituary of Gaudet, Marie Margaret
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her family at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside on Tuesday, June 13th , 2006 of Marie 'Margaret' Gaudet (nee Arsenault) of Wedgewood Manor and formerly of Miscouche, aged 83 years. Margaret was born on September 2, 1922 to her parents the late Phil C. and Helen (Gaudet) Arsenault.
She was the beloved wife of the late Gus Gaudet and loving mother of Rose Anne (Bob) Gaudet, Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her two grand-daughters, Nancy (Lee) Glover, Bedeque and Faye (Chris) Casey, New Annan, and great-grandmother of Alex Casey. She is also survived by her brother John (Anne) Arsenault, Buffalo N.Y. and her sister-in-law Yvonne Arsenault and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Faye Marie, her sisters Julia Arsenault and Agnes Gallant and her brothers Joe, Martin, Anthony and Louis.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche, for funeral mass at 10:30 A.M.. Interment to take place in the Church Cemetery . Memorial donations in Margaret's memory to St. John the Baptist Building Fund or to the Wedgewood Manor Auxiliary would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Wednesday evening only , 7 - 9 P.M.
ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
