Obituary of Adams, Janet M.
The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside on Thursday, March 30th , 2006 of Janet M. Adams ( nee Penwarden ) of the Wedgewood Manor and formerly of Ellerslie, aged 93 years. Janet was born in Ellerslie ,P.E.I. on June 6th , 1912 to her parents, the late Wesley & Agnes ( nee Ford )Penwarden. Beloved wife of the late Bernard B. Adams.
Loving mother of Daisy MacKay of S'side, Ruby ( Warner ) Ramsay of Rawdon, N.S., Lucy ( Ellsworth )Cameron of Mont Carmel, Effie ( Aurele ) Arsenault of S'side and Wesley ( Monica )Adams of Dartmouth, N.S. . Also lovingly remembered by several grandchildren , great- grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Survived by her brothers Lewis ( Effie ) Penwarden of Ellerslie and Lorne Penwarden of Victoria West, her daughters-in-law Elsie, Gertie and Barbara, all of N.S.
Predeceased by her sons Herman,Chester, Lewis and Raymond, her granddaughter Donna Adams, her sisters Janet in infancy and Ruby Noye , her sister-in-law Avis Penwarden , son-in-law Elton MacKay and daughter-in-law Minnie Adams.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Sunday, then to Trinity United Church , Summerside for funeral service at 2:00 P.M.. Interment to take place in the Bideford United Church Cemetery.By request, family flowers only . Memorial donations in Janet's memory to Wedgewood Manor Equipment Fund, Canadian Diabetes Assoc. or the Bideford United Church Cemetery Fund. would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Saturday , 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 P.M. .

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
