Obituary of Ward, Ruth Margaret
Ward ( nee Grady ) : The death occurred peacefully after a brief illness at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown on Wednesday, March 15th , 2006 of Ruth Margaret Ward (nee Grady ) of Charlottetown and formerly of Summerside, aged 91 years. Ruth was born in Summerside, P.E.I. on January 13th , 1915 to her parents, the late David & Margaret ( nee Halliwell ) Grady. Beloved wife of the late Elmer Ward.
Loving mother of George ( Linda ) of Edmonton, Alta., Dale Beauvais of Kitchener, Ont., Bill ( Barbara ) of Lower Sackville, N.S., Kirby of Ch'town and Karen ( James ) Power of Ch'town. Also lovingly remembered by her 17 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by her daughter Carol Ann Pickard, her sisters Velda, Marion, Willena and Alice and her brothers Ralph, Austin, Fred and Bill.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 1:30 P.M.. Interment to take place at a later date in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens,Pleasant Valley. Memorial donation's in Ruth's memory to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Sunday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 P.M.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
