Obituary of Doucette, Robert Francis
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his family at the Prince County Hospital on Tuesday, January 17th, 2006 of Robert Francis 'Bob' Doucette of 12 West Dr. Trailer Park, Summerside, aged 70 years. Bob was born in Summerside on January 10th, 1936 to his parents, the late Edmund and Celina ( nee Perry ) Doucette.
Beloved husband of Helen 'Dusty' ( nee Malik ) Doucette and loving father of Nikki ( Gerard ) Moulins of S'side, Carol ( Ivan ) Johnson of Belmont Lot 16, Joseph ( Tammy ) of Oakville, Ont. and Linda ( Timmy ) Doucette of Clermont. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jonathan & Chelsea Moulins, Andrew, Chris & Ben Johnson, Nicole & Charlie Doucette , along with several nieces and nephews. Survived by his brothers Ernest ( Jean ) of S'side, Don ( Anna ) of S'side,John ( Jean ) of B.C. , his sister Bea ( Paul ) LeClair of Ont. and his sister-in-law Viola ( Carroll ) Brown .
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd.,Summerside until Friday, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass at 10:00 A.M.. Memorial donations in Bob's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Thursday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 P.M. .

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
