Obituary of Muirhead, George
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital,Summerside on Tuesday, October 18th , 2005 of George 'Wayne' Muirhead of Summerside, aged 66 years. Wayne was born in St. Eleanors, P.E.I. on February 9th ,1939 to his parents, the late George & Linda ( nee Craswell ) Muirhead.
Beloved husband of Christine ( nee Thibodeau ) Muirhead and loving father of Kendrick of Ch'town, Glendon ( Diane ) of Toronto, Ont., Deisha, Desiree and Devin Muirhead, all living at home. Also lovingly remembered by his first wife Janet ( nee Gordon ) Gaudet of St. Catherines, P.E.I., his sister Phyllis ( Ralph ) Bryanton of Baltic, his niece Terry Lynn MacKenzie of Indian River and his nephew Gerald Byranton of Malpeque.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 A.M.. Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Wayne's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the Children's Wish Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Wednesday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 P.M..

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
