Obituary of Fleming, Edith Jane
Fleming: The death occurred peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax,
N.S. on Saturday August 6st , 2005, of Edith Jane Fleming (nee Perry) of 104
Coronation Ave, Fairview N.S. aged 92 years. Dear wife of the late Eric Reginald
Fleming and loving mother of: Eric (Marie) Summerside, Alan (Judy), Mount Stewart,
and Kenny, Fairview, N.S..and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is
also survived by her sisters Lila (Lloyd) Fulton, Toronto, Etta Whitney, Carleton Place
and Eleanor, Prescott, Ont., and by her sister-in-law Irene Perry and several nieces and
nephews. She was predeceased by her parents: Howard and Jessie (Rogers) Perry, her
sisters Ella Lund, Marjorie Munroe, and Evelyn (infancy) and by her brothers Robert,
William, Charles and Edwin.. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd.,
Summerside until Tuesday for a committal service at St. John's Anglican Church
Cemetery at 10:30 A.M. Memorial donations in Edith's memory to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours Monday 6-9 P.M. only.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
