Obituary of Clow, Shirley Theresa
Clow : The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital , Summerside on Monday, January 31st , 2005 of Shirley Theresa Clow (nee Burke )of the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside , aged 72 years . Beloved wife of the late Leonard Clow and loving mother of Dianne Waite of Summerside . Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Charldean Waite , Richard ( Jeanette ) Waite , and Kelly Waite( Leigh Adams ) along with her great grandchildren Shane , Sarah , and Kyle Waite , her step great-grandchild Brittany Fraser and several nieces and nephews . Survived by her sister Jennie Blacquiere of Ont. and her brother Vernon Burke of S'side . Predeceased by her parents Charles and Mary Ann ( nee Gallant ) Burke , her son Randy Arsenault ,her sister Winnifred Bulger and her brother Francis Burke . Following cremation , a committal service will take place at St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside at a later date . No visiting hours by personal request . Memorial donations in Shirley's memory to the P.E.I. Lung Association would be greatly appreciated and may be made at the East Prince Funeral Home , 245 Pope Rd. , Summerside . In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
