Obituary of Beer, Gladys Heather
The death occurred peacefully, with her family at her side, at the Prince County Hospital on July 27th, 2022, of Gladys Heather Beer of Summerside, PE, aged 82 years.
Gladys was born in Nine Mile Creek, PE to her late parents Robert & Myrtle (nee MacPhee) MacDonald. Loving mother of Ivan MacLean. She is survived by her brother and sisters Letitia Rauch, Roberta (Elliott) Wight, Carol (Phillip) Kelly, Blair MacDonald, Helen (Don) Warren, Faith Westcott, Rosemary (Franklin) Sanderson. Sister-in-law Lona MacDonald and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gladys was predeceased by her siblings Angus MacDonald, Janet (Frank) Smith, Robert A. MacDonald, brothers-in-laws Jack Rauch, Allan Westcott, and sister-in-law Elizabeth MacDonald, nieces Susan MacDonald, Isabel (MacDonald) MacPhee and nephew Harleigh MacDonald, and special friend Stanley Gallant.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. A private family service and committal to take place at the Canoe Cove Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Canoe Cove, PE.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
