Obituary of MacDonald, Brian Vincent
The death occurred peacefully in the O’Leary Community Hospital, O’Leary, P.E.I. on Sunday, August 28th, 2022 of Brian Vincent MacDonald of Lot 16 and formerly of Ingersoll. ON., aged 72 years.
Brian was born in Summerside, P.E.I. to the late Leo and Florence (Baglole) MacDonald. Beloved husband of Marilyn (Martin) MacDonald and loving father of Crystal (Andy) Landick, Andrea (Chris) Jones, Michelle MacDonald (Brian Bergen). Also lovingly remembered by his 6 grandchildren Ashton, Max and Avery Jones, Christian Vince and Jake Bergen and one great grandchild Piper Jones.
Survived by his sisters Vivian MacKinnon and Donna Perry (Paul MacLeod), sister’s in-law Laura MacDonald and Donna (Andrew) Gallant, brother’s in-law Jim Peters, Richard MacPherson and Michael (Peg) Coolican, his fur babies Gizmo, Maggie and Dixie, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Hubert (Esther), Lorraine MacDonald, Patsy Peters, Gerald and Lloyd MacKinnon and brother in-law Stephen Perry. Special thanks to the staff of the O’Leary Community Hospital and to our niece Ann for all their help and support.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. A celebration of Life will be held at the Lot 16 Hall on Saturday September 3rd at 2:00 p.m. all is welcome to attend. A Memorial in Ontario will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations in Brian’s memory to the PEI Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Inc., would be greatly appreciated. ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
